Moon Luck

Security Blanket

My weighted blanket is keeping me down
I'm looking for grace, but never finding the ground
My eyes were closed while I was feeling around
Looking for closure, deafened by the sound

I thought I'd mention you smothering me
Taken for granted like a stick in the sea
We floated together, now my time is lost
Two birds of a feather, their flight paths uncrossed

And now I'm repeating my negative signs
Duvet in my bedroom, secured in twine
Cooped up in the closet and covered in mold
The pattern repeating, a story untold
